Transitioning away from fossil fuels is the single most important thing we can do to reverse the climate crisis, yet our investigators have uncovered multiple efforts to keep these industries booming. Powerful actors abuse their position to secure new oil, gas and mining deals, state-run oil companies tout dubious climate solutions, and revenue from these industries is further dirtied by ties to conflict and suppression of defenders.
