
Vidya Viswanathan
Director
Vidya is a seasoned climate and environmental policy expert with over 10 years of experience working in South Asia.
Vidya was Program Director of the Centre for Policy Research-Namati Environmental Justice Program, where she led research and co-authored policy papers and articles on the efficacy of environmental regulations in protecting ecology and managing social conflicts induced by land use changes on the ground.
She has previously held positions at WWF-India and India’s Ministries of Labour & Employment and Rural Development.
Vidya has a master's degree in public administration from the Harvard Kennedy School of Government and is a Fulbright-Nehru Scholar from India. She was elected Vice President-Climate Action at HKS student government and was selected as a member of the Harvard Climate Leaders Program.
Vidya is passionate about bringing transparency, accountability and robustness in the current governance around corporate and governmental climate commitments globally.
