
Sushma Raman
Board Member
Currently serving as the interim Executive Director of Greenpeace USA, Sushma served as Executive Director of the Carr Center for Human Rights Policy (now the Carr-Ryan Center) at Harvard Kennedy School from 2015 to February 2023, where she helped launch programs on technology and human rights, democracy in the United States, racial justice, and a range of innovative research and fellowship programs.
Sushma has worked as a Program Officer at the Ford and Open Society Foundations and has served on numerous boards and advisory boards.
Sushma is the co-author of two books, Holding Together: The Hijacking of Rights in America and How to Reclaim Them for Everyone (New Press, 2022) and The Coming Good Society: Why New Realities Demand New Rights (Harvard University Press, 2020).
