Sam Dick
Co-Director of Campaigns
Sam has campaigned on a range of social issues over the past 20 years, from human rights and equality issues to international development and climate justice.
Sam joined Global Witness to help ensure that partners, decision-makers, politicians and the public understand why climate justice and a just transition can only be achieved if we address environmental and human rights concerns globally.
Sam worked most recently at Oxfam GB for five years, overseeing its shift towards a more decolonial and partner-led form of campaigning.
He also worked for a decade (2005-2015) at Stonewall, culminating in leading campaigning to secure equal marriage for same-sex couples and shifting to be an international campaigning organisation.
Sam also sat on the Board of The Climate Coalition (2020-2024), an organisation that brings together not-for-profits in the UK from international development, nature, culture and grassroots community organisations, to ensure there is public and political capital in addressing the climate catastrophe in the UK in a fair and equitable way.
