Roebyem is the founder of KnopOm, a social enterprise working to end energy poverty in the Netherlands and beyond.

Driven by the growing inequality in the energy transition, where vulnerable households face rising energy bills while sustainable solutions remain out of reach, KnopOm developed an innovative tool to detect energy poverty at the household level. The company brings housing corporations together to make sustainable energy solutions accessible to all tenants through collective procurement and collaboration.

Previously, Roebyem co-founded Sungevity International and initiated several successful sustainable energy projects including the School Rooftop Revolution and a solar orphanage supporting Ukrainian hospitals.

Through KnopOm, she now leads a movement to democratize the energy transition, ensuring everyone can participate in creating a sustainable future.
